Under Development and Glory of the Raider Removed

The Crusaders Coliseum

The time to strike at the heart of the Scourge is drawing close. Clouds blanket the skies of Azeroth and heroes gather beneath battle-worn banners in preparation for the coming storm. They say even the darkest cloud has a silver lining. It is this hope that drives the men and women of the Argent Crusade: hope that the Light will see them through these trying times, hope that good will triumph over evil, hope that a hero blessed by the Light will come forth to put an end to the Lich King's dark reign.

So the Argent Crusade has sent out the call, a call to arms for all heroes far and wide, to meet at the very doorstep of the Lich King's domain and to prove their might in a tournament the likes of which Azeroth has never seen. Of course, a tournament such as this needs a fitting stage. A place where potential candidates are tested to the limits of exhaustion. A place where heroes... become champions. A place called the Crusaders' Coliseum.

Prove your Might
The Crusaders' Coliseum, a new raid set to open its doors once World of Warcraft's next content patch is released, will see you and your friends facing off against a series of increasingly challenging bosses, terrible monsters the Argent Crusade brought in from all over Northrend. Although the challenge is great, you will find that the prizes the Argent Crusade has to offer will make it all well worth your while.

The setup for the Crusaders' Coliseum is surprisingly straightforward. If you are familiar with the Ring of Blood quest line, you already have a vague idea of how the Crusaders' Coliseum plays out in principle. After you and your friends enter the coliseum, you will face the first of several bosses; once you've defeated a boss, you will move on to the next one. You must master the encounters one by one, until you finally face the raid's final challenge. Sound simple? That's because there is a twist.

In the "Heroic" version of the Crusaders' Coliseum, you and your raid only have a limited number of attempts for each raid lockout period, and each time your raid wipes, one of your attempts will be used up. To embark on the epic Trial of the Grand Crusader, you must first prove your worth by clearing either the 10 or 25 player version of the Crusaders' Coliseum's normal mode. After you have dealt the killing blow to the coliseum's final heroic mode boss will you be able to collect the Crusaders' Tribute, and the fewer attempts you needed to complete the Trial of the Grand Crusader, the better your reward will be.

Meet (some of) the bosses
  • Beasts: Your first challenge will pit you against a group of terrifying beasts the Argent Crusade captured in Northrend, including (but not limited to) a magnataur and not one, but two jormungar wyrms.
  • Scourge: Some call the lieutenants of the Lich King fearsome creatures made of pure nightmare, which is doubtlessly a fitting description. How the Argent Crusade managed to capture these fiends remains a mystery; what's less mystifying is your fate should you fail to overcome this challenge.
(boss is at the top of the post, left side)

Glory of the Ulduar Raider Reward Changes
The rusted and ironbound proto-drake rewards for the normal and heroic Glory of the Ulduar Raider meta achievements will be removed at a future date. We currently do not have an exact date they will be taken out, but it is possible they will be removed when patch 3.2 comes out or at some point after that. When we do decide to remove these mounts we will provide about 1 month of warning so players will have time to make some final attempts.

These mounts are designed similar to the Arena Gladiator mounts as rewards for the top tier of raiders and we will remove the rewards once we have introduced enough new and more powerful equipment to make the completion of these achievements easier than originally intended. Since these rewards are designed for such high-end game play, we currently plan to continue removing any similar rewards we make available in the future.

Problems with Midsummer Festival

Well there seems to be some problems with the midsummer fire festival, read below for details.

Greetings!

While the Midsummer Fire Festival event has begun, we wanted to take some time to explain that there are some currently known issues with the Festival, and to let the community know that we are working on resolving them.

The first issue, and what seems to be the most prevalent reported issue, is regarding gaining Fire Blossoms from fire quests that were completed last year. This affects the Honor the Fires and Desecrate the Fires quests, as they appear to have not reset from last year. We understand the concerns many players have about being able to obtain enough blossoms for this year to buy what they wish, and we are actively working on the issue.

Second, there have been many reports that the quest “Unusual Activity” has not reset from last year. This is being investigated by development.

In addition, we have had many players report that Crown of the Fire Festival from last year is not granting achievement credit for King of the Fire Festival. This appears to be a result of the quest not having been completed while the achievement system was live (as last Midsummer was before the achievement system was implemented). If it were to grant retroactive achievement for King of the Fire Festival, it would have been granted upon launch of the achievement system.

While we do apologize for any frustration, we want to actively assure the community that we are working on resolving these issues, and any others that may appear.

We will update this information as it becomes available. The thread will continue on our Customer Service Forum here: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=17899684390&sid=1

hey, ive got a resto druid and i dinged 80 a few days ago i just wanted to ask basicly how to heal 10 man raids, i raided naxx yesterday and it went ok but not great, i just wanted to know the basics of what heals to use on tanks in boss fights and what to use on the rest of the raid and how to save mana ect. Thx and is there anyway on the vuhdo addon that you can change it so it doesnt have to click to heal? so its just click to target then u press the heal you want? thx man

Answer
First, gratz on level 80!!! Healing 10 man raids can sometimes be a straight up pain in the ass, the mana regen in 10 man raids is horrible, you will have to manage to get around this. Healing the tanks is a rather easy job, start out with Regrowth, then rejuvenation, and then stack lifebloom up 3 times on the tank and never let it fall off unless the tank is low on HP. If the tank takes more damage then your hots are healing through then use Nourish on them every now and then, make sure you dont let your hots fall off. When your healing the raid use rejuvenation and Nourish on them, if you have good mana and think you can handle it use rejuvenation on the whole raid since you are in a 10 man, or keep it on the five people that are taking most damage. You can also use regrowth on the raid which does the same thing as nourish and rejevenation all in one cast and it is a longer hot. Its very hard to Regen your mana in 10 mans especially if you are under geared, use your Innervate and of course bring Runic Mana Potion, gem up your gear with the right gems you need, and of course use a Flask of Pure Mojo. Now with Vuhdo, if you go into the settings by click the button on the minimap or typeing /vuhdo , you can change what buttons are used to heal, therefore you can just make the button left click target the person by typing in the boss Target, and then just leave all the other boxes blank. You can get more help on that with my Youtube Tutorial.
