Hello everyone and welcome to the second Trade Skill Sunday! This week we are talking about how to make money with Herbalism. What is herbalism? Herbalism is a gathering profession that normally goes along with Alchemy or Inscription, today we will cover Herbalism/Alchemy. With Herbalism you pick flowers that can be used to make potions for flask for you and your friends or guild. There are a few places you can farm at with Herbalism, those places are Storm Peaks and Sholazar Basin. Once again for the best results with farming use Gathermate or Gatherer. The first place we will cover for farming is Storm Peaks. In Storm Peaks you can farm Lichbloom and Icethorn. Every time you pick up a herb you will have a chance of getting a Frost Lotus, the chances of getting this is sorta rare but will most likely happen within 30 min to an hour of farming hardcore. Now depending on the prices of the herbs on your server, you can either sell the herbs and frost lotus on the Auction House or you can Make flask with them and Sell them on the AH. On my server you make more money selling the flask. If you decide you are wanting to sell flask, i suggest going Elixir Master or finding somone who is an Elixir Master. This gives you the chance to proc up to 8 or 10 flask at a time (its either 8 or 10 im not sure which). Obviously the more flask you proc you are going to make more money. I suggest making the flask that uses easy farming mats but sells for alot on the Auction House, look around on your server and see what sells for more. The other good place to farm herbs at is Scholazar Basin, at Sholazar Basin you can farm Goldclover, Tiger Lily, and Adder's Tounge. These mats are used to make Potions, look at your potions and see which ones are the best to make to make you more money, or once again sell these mats on the Auction House. This is all based on how your Auction House Economy is. If you decide to make Potions with your Mats you will want to go with Potion Master as your Alchemy Spec. Being a potion master gives you a chance to proc more potions. Also make sure you do the Alchemy Research every day to open up your options to which potions, flask, and elixirs you can make. Explore through your Alchemy and see what sells for the most and is easier for you to farm. Also if you only have Herbalism, i suggest to go pick up Alchemy, since you can normally sell what you can make with the herbs for more than the actual herbs sell for, plus the procs can help out alot too.
